sunken gardens wedding: michelle + ben

It’s true what they say, some of the very best things in life are those things that you just can’t plan. And that could not have been more true than that day, as he turned around to see her for the first time. The light in his eyes, the slight exhale of shock, and the full on jaw-dropping expression on his face said more than any pre-planned letter or words ever could. It was a look that let her and everyone around know how much he adored her and how truly lucky he felt to know she was his. It was a look of complete and utter love. And if you ask me, that’s a look that most definitely deserves a place on the list of the best things in life, especially because it wasn’t planned . . . .

Michelle and Ben are married! It was a day full of so much gardeny goodness, an insanely fun bridal party, and so, SO much love that we had the absolute best time documenting! The two of them held their big day at the stunning Sunken Gardens, and even though a little rain came that day it was gracious enough to wait until after their sweet outdoor ceremony! Ben had one of the absolute BEST first look reactions when he first saw Michelle, and we loved how laid back both of them were all day. They weren’t worried about the clouds in the sky or the details being just perfect (even though they truly were!). They were just content to be together, wandering through the towering trees, laughing and cuddling as they went.

The reception was decorated with string lights, so even though it had to be moved inside it still had a very warm, gardeny feel. And our absolute most FAVORITE part of this day was their first dance, which was sung by Ben’s brother Jeff. (fyi….Ben’s brother just so happens to be an amazing singer!) It was so touching to watch, with Jeff singing in the background, and Michelle and Ben singing to each other –  definitely one of those full-on goosebump inducing moments that let everyone around feel the love that the two of them share.

Michelle + Ben, there aren’t enough thank-you’s in the world! You two were a dream to work with, and we just adore you both to bits! The wedding may be over, but we still expect a food truck date!

Love + Laughs,

Sarah & Ben
