powel crosley mansion wedding: emily + andrew

This was a day that was years in the making. Through years of childhood and high school and college and becoming adults, the journey had finally taken them here. The wind blew her veil playfully to the side as she spoke to him for the first time that day, and as he turned around to see her they entwined their arms around each other and held each other close. There were tears and laughter, moments of silence and moments of sweet whispers, but most of all there was simply love . . . .

Emily and Andrew are married! They had a beautiful Powel Crosley wedding day that was just perfect in every way. The two them shared one of the sweetest first looks we have ever seen, that left everyone watching with teary eyes (which happened more than once that day) and was one of those moments that truly made us so thankful to get to do this job. We loved so many details about this day, from the fact that Emily included vintage buttons in her gift to Andrew, to the ferns and greenery everywhere to the amazing vintage car that made an appearance, but what we loved even more is how the day felt. Not just because these two are childhood sweethearts who have a forever kind of love but because everyone in attendance so obviously adored them so much. And if you met these two, you couldn’t help but adore them too.

Emily wore the most beautifully flowy gown that she paired with some navy Kate Spade heels, and also had a backup pair of sparkly Kate tennies to change into for the reception. And speaking of the reception, guests dined by the water as the sun set behind them and the string lights overhead began to glow, the entire thing felt so incredibly romantic. And as soon as night had arrived so did the party, with some awesomely epic mixes spun by Cory Barron and everyone had a blast showcasing their best moves.

Emily and Andrew, we’ve truly loved every minute we’ve gotten to spend with you guys and feel so happy to know you! Thank you for the honor of documenting this day, we couldn’t have felt luckier to spend it by your sides.

Love + Laughs,

Sarah & Ben
