Painter’s Paradise Wedding Inspiration

Happy Friday friends! We’re going to start this post with a whole lotta #sorrynotsorry, because it maaaaay end up being GIANT. But we are just so insanely in love with every bit of this shoot and the amazing vendor team behind it that we just can’t help but gush on them. After it’s gorgeous feature on Green Wedding Shoes we’re beyond excited to finally get to celebrate it, so let’s not wait any longer!

The inspiration for every bit of this magic was the stunning paper florals that A Wilder Flower creates.  After seeing some of her work it was impossible not to be inspired, and we truly couldn’t have asked for a better team of vendors to bring this shoot to life! The fact that so many details, from the amazing handmade earrings to the groom’s boutonniere to the large-scale florals are all PAPER still takes our breath away. (If you aren’t following Katie’s killer work on Insta, we give you permission to pause and go do it NOW!)

The ceremony and reception decor was imagined and styled by the oh so fabulous Loom & Lathe. It was based around an artist’s studio space, and was filled with vibrant colors and playful abstract paintings. We loved getting to play with so much amazing color, and are still swooning over that dip-dyed yellow runner and ombre ceremony backdrops!

And speaking of things that made us swoon, we loved  how flawlessly the living floral arrangements, provided by the insanely talented Marigold Flower Co., meshed with the oversized paper ones. During the shoot we found ourselves doing double takes to check which flowers were real and which had been made. It was all JUST.THAT.GOOD. The bride wore Jenny Yoo gowns provided by Isabel O’Neil Bridal, and two modern, fun looks designed by Denise Burkle of Db Studio. Her loose waves of the first look beautifully highlighted her accessories, and her loose braid for the party portion of the day was such a fun complement to her bold lip. We’re still just SO obsessed with that bright pink lip!

When it came to inviting our faux guests to the party, we knew that A&P Design Co. HAD to be the ones to make the invitation suite because their work is always a dream! The watercolor details were such a perfect complement to the abstract paintings of the ceremony backdrop, and the floral liner of the envelope was such a fun surprise! To finish up the day J’aime Cakes brought us a watercolor masterpiece, which was aaaalllmooosst too pretty to eat, and we all celebrated with some perfectly colorful custom cocktails.

We just adored every bit of this shoot and hope that the poppy summer colors and playful decor inspire brides to step outside of the norm and add a little color and whimsy to their wedding days!

Love + Laughs,

Sarah & Ben
