Well friends, it’s happening. Today we are taking our minimally packed shared bag, driving to the airport, and getting on a plane that is taking us to Italy. And it’s insane to think this day is finally here!
In our bedroom there hangs a map, with pins representing where we’ve been and where we hope to go. And this little red pin marking Italy has been something my pasta-loving, wine-admiring, gelato-pining heart has yearned so long for. It’s hard to believe that in just 15 hours that dream will officially be a reality and we’ll be walking the streets of Rome. A ton of people have asked about our itinerary, and it’s a super ambitious one (so wish us aaalllll the luck and energy – which will for sure come from an overload of cappuccinos ; )
We’ll be spending three nights in Sorrento, two nights in Rome, two nights in the Cinque Terre, two nights in Florence, three nights in the Chianti Region of Tuscany and finishing with two nights in Venice. Because we’re firm believers that the real world beats the virtual one, things will be a little quiet around these parts while we’re gone. But we’ll try our best to share a bit over on our Insta as we go, so be sure to follow along there!
