When we arrived to the hotel to begin Asher and Kim’s Urban Stillhouse wedding day, we found the groom sitting on the porch. In his hands were the rings the two of them would exchange in just a few hours, and on his face was the sweetest expression. A mix of love, excitement, and the kind of nerves you have when all your plans are finally going to come to fruition. He sat there, not noticing us for a moment, just clutching the little wooden box, and putting all his energy and focus into the three little circles in his hands. And that one little moment was a fitting introduction to how we’d come to find out the entire day would feel. Like it was solely about the promise being made, the two people making it, and the new adventure about to begin . . . . .

Asher and Kim are married! The two of them had an intimate Urban Stillhouse wedding on a Friday afternoon that simply couldn’t have been more soul-filling! From the curated guest list to the details throughout the day, theirs was a celebration that truly felt like an ode to love, laughter, and the importance of family, and we’re so pumped to finally be able to share all of our favorite parts!

The two of them got ready separately before saying their vows in front of their closest family, friends, and a cozy fire. Kim looked absolutely stunning, which you can absolutely tell by her groom’s face when he finally got to lay eyes on her! We loved that a friend presided over the ceremony, and that the two of them concluded their vows with a hand-hug (a special tradition between the two of them). It truly made the whole thing feel like a celebration of their lives together. After some quick family portraits, we all boarded the trolley, and headed to downtown St. Pete for a change of scenery while the staff at Urban Stillhouse flipped the space.

The Gizella Kopsick Arboretum provided a stunning backdrop for their portraits, with a mix of greenery, beach, and a colorful pier. Once outside we realized that Asher’s custom suit basically turned him into a chameleon, with the iridescent material changing hues throughout the day depending on the setting. (So cool!) And as if it didn’t look good enough on the outside, the INSIDE had it’s own moment with a unique lining including pictures of the newlyweds over the years. His giant smile every time he got to hold his gorgeous bride close was absolutely infectious, and we found ourselves getting back on the trolley with sore cheeks from smiling and laughing so much with these two.

Back at the venue, the room was flipped for the celebration to begin. The couple opted to have a cocktail hour style reception, complete with delish snacks and tons of mingling (we’re still dreaming about that epic charcuterie board!) The cozy allure of Urban Stillhouse was just the perfect setting for this type of event, radiating intimacy, warmth, and laidback vibes. The party itself was full of so many sweet moments, including the moms being asked to sign the marriage license (cue AAAALLLLL the feels), Kim’s dad making a sweet speech that spanned through her life’s milestones, and the newlyweds surprising the bride’s parents with a gift that had everyone belly laughing. And to add to the surprises, Asher gifted his bride custom Nike’s for their honeymoon, complete with their monograms and wedding date.

Asher and Kim, we simply adore you two and had so much fun celebrating the union of #TeamKasher! From your silly senses of humor to your hand hugs and the sweet way you guys love each other, spending time with you both and your lovely family was just plain good for our souls. We wish you both so much love, happiness and adventures to come!
