She has the most magnetic of smiles. The kind that starts with a glow in her eyes and quickly fills the rest of her face, in a way that makes you feel just a little better knowing it’s aimed in your direction. And he lives in such a way that makes it so very clear that his only goal is to bring out those smiles again and again. It was obvious when he surprised her in the morning with the shoes she had only dreamed of walking down the aisle in, and when he counted his steps in an empty ballroom before their first dance later that night. Because he wanted it to be perfect for her. Wherever they go and whatever they may do, life will surely bring changes. But one thing is for certain. After seeing the way he looked at her that day, the purpose of his life will always live within her smile . . . .

Kim and Karl are married! They started their wedding day with a traditional tea ceremony at the bride’s parent’s house, before a Catholic ceremony and reception at the Safety Harbor Resort and Spa. We loved that their wedding day felt like such a perfect blend of both of their families, and how the day flowed seamlessly from one event to the next while still maintaining such distinctly different feels. We absolutely adored everything Kim got to wear that day, from her traditional Vietnamese wedding attire to the Tara Keely dress that hugged her perfectly. And just when we were smitten with the fact that she had the most adorable Kate Spade heels ever, Karl came and made the day even BETTER, surprising her with a pair of sparkly Manolos. (Can we say keeper?!)
We loved so much about this day, from the light and airy color palette to the sparkly details, but what made it truly amazing was the people at the center of it all. After having only met Kim once and never meeting Karl, we couldn’t help but be amazed at how the two of them felt like our very best friends from the start of the day. And then we met their group of friends, and we realized it was no accident. Because this entire group was just so sweet and kind and welcoming that we couldn’t help but be sad to leave them all at the end of the day.
Kim + Karl, we always say thank you to our couple’s and truly mean it. But that honestly doesn’t seem like enough for you two. You guys trusted us with your wedding day from a far, and then welcomed us into your family from the very first time we met. We had the best day ever with you two and hope you love this little peek into it as much as we do.
