They stood beneath the trees. And there they joined hands as they spoke words that joined their lives, promising to be strong in their love. To plant roots so deeply in each other’s hearts that they could weather any storm to come, and to each be a shelter for the other, just like the leaves that filled the branches above . . .

Katie and Mike are married! They had a beautiful outdoor ceremony beneath the banyan trees of Straub Park followed by a reception at the Museum of Fine Arts in Saint Pete. The chilly weather gave Katie and her girls an excuse to don the most adorable wraps (can we just TALK about Katie’s perfect winter fur?!) and we loved the variety in the bridesmaid’s dresses. Katie and Mike shared a sweet first look early in the day, but that didn’t mean that Mike’s smile was any smaller the second time he got to see his bride walk toward him later during their ceremony.
The reception was warmly lit, with soft pink uplighting on the walls and a mix of low centerpieces on guest tables. The head table was lined with gorgeous florals, and pictures of the bride + groom at each age served as the table numbers. We adored the unique signature cocktails offered, and were especially obsessed with the fact that Mike’s came with a cracker jack garnish to celebrate his love of baseball. How fun is that?!
Katie + Mike, thank you for a wonderful day! We hope you have the best, most crepe-filled honeymoon ever and come back with so many wonderful new memories!
Love + Laughs,
Sarah & Ben
