They stood together with tears in their eyes, each listening to the other make promises their deepest of hearts knew would be kept. Occasionally one of them would laugh, and a tear would stream down a cheek, and some moments there were just too many tears to ignore wiping them away.
But one thing was certain. The tears they shared were the best kind of tears. They were the kind that happen on the happy, once in a lifetime kind of days. The kind that seem to only come when your heart is so full it could burst, and the only thing left to do when there is that much happiness inside you is let a little bit out. And so together, on a stage in front of everyone they cherished, they stood hand in hand and cried the happiest of happy-hearted tears . . . .

Melinda + George are married! They had a beautiful wedding day at the Mirror Lake Lyceum that was full of so many amazing DIY details. Melinda wore a veil she made herself that included her love of bows and polka dots (which are pretty much our most favorite things as well!) and topped off her look with a handful of perfect Kate Spade accessories. We were absolutely in awe of how polished so many of the details were, especially all of the decor which the two of them did themselves. Every flower arrangement you see at their wedding was a total labor of love, and we adore how it all came out!
After a sweet first look in the balcony of the Lyceum, the two of them were married on the stage below. We couldn’t help but tear up a little as they made their vows to each other through shakey voices and their own tears, and even though we had so, SO many favorite moments from this day, there promises to each other most definitely have to be our most favorite part. It was clear not only because of the love between them, but also because of the sweetness of everyone there to celebrate that love. Their’s is a relationship that is built to last.
