drakewood farm wedding: lauren + brian

It was one of the most joyful moments either of them had ever lived. Her, with a smile that seemed to grow with every step she took towards him, and him with eyes that welled up when he finally got to lay them on her. And after a long embrace they stood together in the field in a moment that seemed to stand still, talking and laughing happily like the best of friends. The air was crisped with a tinge of fall but the tone of their words filled the empty space around them with such warmth  it felt like the brightest of summer days . . . .

Lauren and Brian are married! They had a picture perfect wedding day at the ever so charming Drakewood Farm in Goodletsville, Tennessee that we were beyond stoked to be a part of! The entire venue from the barn to the string lights to the ridiculously stunning ceremony site in the WOODS was like something straight out of a fairytale (seriously, we still can’t believe places like this even exist in real life!) Lauren wore a gorgeous lace-detailed dress coupled with a favorite pair of boots, and we were of course smitten with Brian’s teal bowtie. After a sweet first look the four of us explored all of the best parts of the property (which were endless!) and then they set off for the ceremony.

We adored the intimate feeling of the woods where they said their vows, and how their guests stood with them throughout it. And afterwards everyone headed to the outdoor reception where tables were set with mismatched china and table numbers were swapped for some of the couple’s favorite movies. For favors they opted to send everyone home with a taste of Tennesse in the form of biscuit mix from the Loveless cafe (which are the best biscuits EVER!) and a spice mix that smelled oh so yummy!

Lauren and Brian, we hope you know just how much we adore you both! There will never be enough words to tell you how humbled we were to be included in your big day, and we hope you love this sneak peek as much as we loved putting it together!
