They stood side by side, a thin piece of wood being the only thing that kept them apart. He handed her a letter that spoke of his vow to be her everything, along with a patch embroidered with the last name they would soon share, and she slipped an envelope into his palm containing a quote that summed up her every feeling. And in that moment they both silently read, feeling each other’s smile through the divider even though they couldn’t see it, and knowing just inches from them were the eyes they would make a vow to just an hour later. They eyes they would look into that day and promise forever . . .

Joanna and Adam are married! They had a gorgeous nautical wedding at one of our favorite venues (the ever so lovely Cross Creek Ranch) that we felt so very spoiled to document. Every time we shoot at Cross Creek we are always so incredibly blown away by the level of detail brought to every area of the property, and Joanna and Adam’s wedding was definitely no different (so be prepared for a mega load of detail shots)! From the flags lining the bridge, to the anchors, buoys, and rope that were perfectly placed throughout, the entire day was simply stunning and the perfect homage to Adam’s service in the Coast Guard. We also loved all of the quirky fun touches sprinkled through, like the popcorn bar that welcomed guests to the cocktail hour and the string trio playing “Under the Sea” as Joanna and Adam approached the reception. It was just too stinkin’ adorable.
Joanna looked like a real, live Disney princess in her dress,(which was fitting because every part of the day felt like a fairytale), and Adam looked every bit the part of Prince Charming in his uniform. It was also so perfect the way Joanna’s specially made veil matched all of the jasmine blossoming all over the property. The two of them made the day completely their own with a beautifully choreographed first dance, a bouquet dedication instead of a toss, and a sweet slideshow for Joanna to watch with her dad instead of a father-daughter dance.
Joanna and Adam, from the very first picture we took at your engagement session you two have made our jobs so incredibly easy and fun! Thank you for inviting us to share this day with you two, words can never explain how humbled we were to document another memorable day for your family.
