Internet, meet Dacie + Dennis. About seven years ago the two of them were paired up on the first day of freshman orientation at Yale (yes, THE Yale) and the rest, as they say, is history. Dennis proposed to Dacie at the Arboretum, and while we love that entire story our favorite part of their proposal was the fact that Dennis flew to Florida and back all in the same day to ask for her parent’s blessing before popping the question. (Is that not the sweetest ever?!)
The two of them were down in Florida visiting family over Thanksgiving, and during their trip we got together at Desoto National Memorial Park (where Dacie actually remembered visiting on a school field trip YEARS ago) for their engagement session. We had the best time exploring, and asked Dacie if her elementary school self had dreamed of getting to cuddle with the man of her dreams on the nature trails all those years ago. We just thought it was so romantic to come full circle and be back with her future husband at her side!
After the park we headed to Bradenton beach hoping to find some lovely golden light and a gorgeous sunset, and we were seriously spoiled with both.
Dacie + Dennis, it was SO wonderful to finally meet you guys in person, and we had the best afternoon with you both! Can’t wait to celebrate your big day next year!
