She walked out the front door on her father’s arm. The two of them made their way down the steps she used to bound up after school and down the path her feet had walked countless times before. Only this time instead of a backpack she carried a bouquet. And this time instead of heading home she was walking away from it. Towards the man who had become her new one.
And there in the front yard, surrounded by so much love it wouldn’t have been possible to celebrate within any set of four walls, a promise was made. The wind blew and some tears flowed, and in front of the house that held so many of her memories she set off to make some new ones . . . .

Glori and Will are married! In the front yard of the bride’s family home the two of them shared their vows, before heading to the back for one seriously epic party. After documenting Glori’s sister Dacie’s wedding a while back (go check it out here!) we were beyond excited to spend another amazing day at this magical place, and we hope that more than how this day looked these pictures convey how it FELT. This was a celebration centered around so much more than pretty details (even though we’re still obsessing over every single one) and the sense of family and legacy and love at the center of it all still made us a little teary as we prepped this post.
Glori wore a stunning two piece gown that couldn’t have fit her more perfectly, and paired it with a sweet pair of Jack Rodgers sandals that sported her new monogram. The necklace she wears by her heart each and every day was her only bit of jewelry, and she looked so easily timeless it was absolutely no wonder that a few tears made their way into Will’s eyes as she came down the aisle. And speaking of Will, he has one of those highly contagious oh-so joy giving smiles, and it basically didn’t leave his face all day. It was the perfect accessory to his fitted suit ; )
The family dog wandered the yard throughout the day, making cameos here and there during the vows and dances. At the conclusion of the ceremony, guests were welcomed to the backyard where they found feasting tables decked out in florals in the day’s palette of yellow and green. In lieu of traditional place cards, pieces of terra cotta welcomed everyone to their seats with their names in beautiful calligraphy. And after some seriously delish food (we can’t stop thinking about those plantains!) the C’Nergy Band kicked off a party so fun we’re still humming our favorite Beyonce remixes.
Glori and Will, “thank you” doesn’t seem like enough to let you know just how much we loved being a part of this day, but we hope you know we mean it from the very bottom of our hearts.
