Ashley met John while going to school at USF, before he moved away due to to his military assignment (he flies fighter jets which we think is pretty darn rad). They remained friends on Facebook, but once Ashley took up an interest in flying and reached out to John asking questions, sparks flew and the rest, as they say, is history. Some may even say it was love at first flight! (Don’t roll your eyes, we HAD too!) The two of them got engaged in San Diego while out on a boat trip, and began planning a Cross Creek Ranch wedding day here in. Florida. Ashley will be moving out to California to join John, so the wedding day is not only a celebration of the two of them but also an awesome Florida send-off!
The four of us met up in Hyde Park for their engagement session, and had fun exploring before we headed to Peter O. Knight airport for some shots with a plane (the thing that started it all!) We loved getting to shoot with such an awesome prop, and loved even more how nice both of them were when we totally butchered our descriptions of the airplane parts. There was literally a moment where Sarah asked if “that part of the strip was being used for airporting?” It was. Because it was the RUNWAY.
Ashley + John, thank you for the honor of documenting this exciting time in your lives! We have absolutely loved our time together and hope you adore this mini peek into our afternoon as much as we do!
