He saw her at the end of the aisle, and his face immediately illuminated. She looked like a dream mixed with a fairytale and seemed to glow as the sun shone on her back. He laughed and said “well that didn’t take long” as his eyes filled with tears. And just like falling in love with her, it hadn’t . . . . . .

Katie and Dylan are married! These two put together an amazing wedding day in record time, which also happened to be the most stunning backyard wedding celebration. Although, we are still debating if you can even call the setting of this day a “backyard”, because Dillon’s family home was so gorgeous we are pretty sure it should be an official wedding venue. From the view on the lake to the perfect setting around the pool, every bit of it was perfection. Katie wore a gorgeous bell-sleeved gown, which couldn’t have fit her better, and she looked so radiant it was absolutely no surprise when Dylan’s eyes filled with tears as she walked down the aisle. We loved so much of the ceremony, from all the jokes to the fact they made Katie’s daughter such a special part of it.
The reception was such a fabulous party, with the most delicious stations replacing a sit down dinner, and everyone mingling in all the different areas of the house. It didn’t feel formal or structured, and other than a few dances there weren’t many planned events. Just like the two souls at the center of it, every minute of the day felt laid-back and free-spirited, and we just adored every minute of it. There was eating (have we mentioned how good this food was?!), an awesome dance party, and time set aside for some golden hour pictures we couldn’t love anymore (just WAIT until you see this glowy light!) And at the end of it all the newlyweds ran through a sparkler exit before hopping on a boat and heading off across the lake.
Katie and Dylan (and Kennedy!) thank you for inviting us into such a special day for your family. We had so much fun with you guys and felt so lucky to be a part of it!
