She said it was the first time she had felt normal all day. Standing in front of the church they would soon share their vows, him hugging her tight as his tears seemed to mix with the intricate swirls of her hair. It felt like a moment for just the two of them as she smiled and wiped a tear or two from his cheek. And there was no better sign that the promise she was making to him that day was true, than that feeling. That she was more herself in his arms than she ever felt on her own . . . . .

Kelly and Joe are married! When we first sat down with them to talk about what they wanted their wedding to be like, one thing was abundantly clear. They weren’t caught up in the idea of what a wedding these days is, or worried about having a ton of crazily planned out details. They weren’t going to have a bridal party and they were going to have games for their guests to play at their reception. They wanted something a bit more low key. And while huge, detail filled weddings totally make our hearts flutter, what Kelly and Joe’s wedding was about made our hearts feel FULL. It was simply a day about the two of them, that kept their love and the new marriage they were embarking on at the center of it all.
After a sweet and tear filled first look, the two of them were married in an intimate ceremony at the always charming Andrew’s Memorial Chapel. We loved how perfectly Kelly’s lace backed dress went with the timeless feel of the the chapel, and Joe was more than smitten to have her on his arm all day. After the ceremony the four of us made a pit stop in downtown Dunedin for a few more portraits, before making our way to their reception at Island Way Grill.
Kelly and Joe, thank you for not only making our jobs so easy but for being so insanely sweet and welcoming to boot. We are humbled to have been the ones to document your love story, and hope enjoy a few of our favorites!
