It was a breezy afternoon, and a girl with the middle name of sunshine walked barefoot down a shaded aisle, towards the one spot of sunlight that had peeked through the trees. It illuminated the cross they had made together with wood from one of their favorite places, lit up the faces of the people they held dear, and most importantly, it shone brightly on him. The face she loved most in the world.
And as she got to the front of the aisle, and the warm light began to wrap around her veil and warm her toes, it was clear that spot of sunlight was no coincidence. Because that day, in that single patch of light, the girl with the middle name of sunshine made a vow to light up the heart of the man she loved most for the rest of her days. And as he held her hands tight, he looked into her illuminated face and promised to do the same . . . . .

Jessica and Travis are married! The two of them had a waterside ceremony at Dunn Huntin’ Groves (a stunning piece of property owned by Jessica’s family) followed by an outdoor reception underneath the stars. We loved how laid back both Jessica + Travis were throughout the entire day, and how everything truly felt about the two of them and the promise they were making to each other. Jessica opted to go barefoot beneath her gorgeous Vera Wang gown, and the couple’s pups were part of the wedding processional.
The reception set up was like something from a fairytale, with long tables scattered throughout the yard beneath the paper lanterns. Instead of a traditional cake, the two of them opted for warm cobbler and donuts, and skipped a lot of things like bouquet and garter tossing in order to have more time to spend with their guests. We loved the unique chairs lining the tables, which perfectly fit in with the outdoorsy theme of the day, and how simple and classic the centerpieces were. Truth be told, there are absolutely no words to adequately describe how perfect this day was, how beautiful every single detail was, or how much the day sincerely felt about love. But we hope every bit of that comes through in these images.
Jessica + Travis, we feel so incredibly lucky to have spent this day with you and to know you both. Thank you so much for making our job so incredibly easy and fun! We have loved all of our time with you both, and most definitely hope to have more adventures to come!
Love + Laughs,
Sarah & Ben
