There were tables scattered throughout the room. Each with a centerpiece of floating flowers and candles, and an array of silverware that seemed to get larger the closer it got to the plates. But the most noticeable things were the signs, bright white and on a stand in the middle of the table, each with the name of something that was important to the two of them. Words like “champagne” and “sunshine”, “jam” and “guitars”.
That night, as they sat with their children beside them at a table set for four, they spoke their speeches and clinked their glasses around the most important of the important thing signs. They sat together at a table named “Family.”

Heather and Alistair are married! They had a drizzily, gorgeously green, and perfect in every way wedding day at Barony Castle in Scotland (that’s right…SCOTLAND!) that we were beyond excited to be a part of. The venue was the perfect setting for the traditional attire (can we talk about how handsome Ali looked in his kilt?!) and Heather looked absolutely amazing in her Maggie Sottero dress and Jimmy Choo pumps.
Since it was a bit wet outside (which is pretty much the norm for a day in Scotland) the wedding was held inside, but the sky dried up just enough for us to be able to explore the stunning grounds of Barony Castle. We loved getting to shoot in such a vastly different setting from our usual palm trees and bright skies, and are head over heels smitten with the soft light that comes along with a cloudy Scotland day.
Heather and Ali, we absolutely adore you two to bits and are so glad that we were the lucky ones to document your big day! Thank you so much for not only having us there to tell the story of your wedding, but also for including us in the amazing celebration!
