We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again, there is absolutely nothing like a couple who decides to make their engagement session their own. Whether it is returning to the exact spot they got engaged, asking us to follow them to the coffee shop where they first met, or just spending an hour or two at their weekend hangout, there is something so special about not just taking beautiful images, but taking them in a place that actually means something to the people in them. For Suzanne and Todd, that place was their brand new home which they recently moved into, and are slowly but surely making their own. When we were talking about their session and Suzanne mentioned that as a possibility I was instantly on board. There is something so romantic about documenting the very beginning of a place where so many amazing memories are going to be made!
We hung out with the two of them in their kitchen for a bit, where they made cookies and laughed a whole bunch. And then when the light got all lovely and soft we headed to their epic backyard (seriously, I could not believe how stunning and HUGE it was!) which felt like something straight out of the secret garden. It was perfectly laid back, so very romantic, and a ridiculous amount of fun!
Suzanne + Todd, we had such an awesome afternoon with you guys and are beyond excited to dance it up at your big day in December! Hope you enjoy some of our favorites!
