Every now and then, a session comes along that feels extra special—and this extended family session at Waterworks Park was exactly that. The family gathered in Tampa from all corners of the globe to celebrate their matriarch’s birthday. And what better gift could there be than the gift of memories?
As a Waterworks Park photographer, this session was pure joy from start to finish. The family dynamic was incredible to witness! These two proud parents and their grown children (now with families of their own), and the most adorable trio of grandkids. From the sweet little girl full of personality to her giggly little brother and their newest addition—a tiny baby already loved beyond measure—every moment was bursting with love and connection.
We started the session with group photos that captured the whole family together, a rare and beautiful thing when everyone lives so far apart. The grandparents beamed with pride as they snuggled their grandchildren. I couldn’t help but smile at how naturally this family’s love shone through in every shot.
But the real highlight? When everyone whipped out their matching sunglasses—yes, even the baby had a pair! It was such a fun, unexpected moment that perfectly summed up this family’s playful and lighthearted spirit.
