Their’s is an old love. The kind that began when they were kids and grew right along with them into adulthood. It has entwined their hearts together, making their separate lives into one and each of their dreams the other’s. It’s the kind of thing you only hear about in love songs on the radio and in movies that seem too perfect to be true. But on a sunny Saturday in November, those of us lucky enough to feel the warmth of their love got to see a real life fairytale begin its next chapter . . .

Marissa and Jacob are married! Their Tampa River Center wedding day started with a beautiful outdoor ceremony (complete with boat entrance for the gents) followed by a gorgeous indoor-outdoor wedding reception. Marissa looked stunning in her off the shoulder gown, which she flew all the way to Kleinfeld to pick out. And she spoiled us with so many amazing details at the beginning of the day, including her Badgley Mischka heels with the loveliest ankle ties. Jacob looked oh-so-handsome in his perfectly fitted tux, and made the sweetest excited face when he first saw his bride walking down the aisle. After some perfectly glowy waterfront portraits the newlyweds headed to their reception, which was a straight-up DREAM of greenery. From the giant chandelier over the dance floor to the mix of reception centerpieces to the custom head table backdrop, Royal Events seriously crushed every bit of the decor.
We loved so many moments of this day, from the epic dance party to the self-written vows to the cameo by their fur-baby Koda. But the one that sticks out most in our minds is a sweet moment the two of them had with Jacob’s grandma after the ceremony, when they showed her that he would be wearing his grandpa’s band as his wedding ring. There were so many tears (including from yours truly) and it genuinely felt like such a passing of the torch, from one love story that had stood the test of time to another. It was the kind of thing that truly cements why we love this job so darn much. And now we’ve gotta go, so we can go grab a tissue all over again . . . . .
Marissa + Jacob, we had the best day with you both at the Tampa River Center – wedding goals for SURE. Thank you both for being so insanely sweet and fun, we simply loved every minute of it of our time together!
