The water glistened behind them as they spoke their vows. Portuguese and English words intertwined in the air, just like the lives of the people speaking them. A promise was made, a kiss was had, and the two of them walked up an aisle lined with every face who had ever mattered to them. It was simple, and sweet, and like the two people at the center of it all oh so very beautiful . . . . .

Brian and Tais are married! The two of them had a perfectly intimate Shephard’s Beach Resort wedding, complete with a waterfront ceremony and epic party of a reception. Tais wore a stunning off-the-shoulder gown that she paired with a simple orchid in her hair and other beachy details (still so obsessed with her Kate Spade earrings!) and Brian’s smile couldn’t have been any bigger when he finally got to see her walk down the aisle. Of course, he *did* get some practice at seeing the bride earlier in the day, when his brother-in-law donned a gown and surprised him at what he thought would be a first look with Tais!
Their reception was so much fun, with a full dance floor all night and such a fun intermingling of their family and friends. It truly felt like such a celebration of two families combining into one. We talk all the time about how a wedding is so great because you get to be surrounded by all your favorite faces, but in Tais and Brian’s case that was extra true. These two opted to skip the part where you pad out a guest list or do courtesy invites of any sort, and we loved that every single person in attendance was close to them. It truly gave the day such a warm, genuine vibe, that made our eyes a little teary and our hearts oh so full.
Brian and Tais, from our very first phone call, we have just adored you two. You are some of the most genuinely kind and joyful human beings we’ve ever had the pleasure of spending time with and we hope every bit of that joy comes through in these highlights.
