They stood together on the empty rooftop, the busy city rushing about below. The wind blew her veil and there was a slight chill in the air that caused them to cuddle a little closer. But looking at their faces you’d never know any of this. Each smiled with so much warmth and together they had such a sense of calm that it made the chaos of the world below fade away. Thirty minutes ago they had spoken the words that officially sealed their forevers, and before all of the celebration downstairs was about to begin, this quiet moment was a party in itself. This was a moment just for them . . . .

Sarah and Eric are married! The two of them had a gorgeous wedding day that took place at the oh so timeless Floridan Palace Hotel, where we absolutely never tire of shooting. After a morning of pampering in the penthouse suite, Sarah put on a gown that had just that right amount of tulle (which if you know us means it had SO much!) and headed down to the balcony for a first look with Eric. Some quick portraits together and then a few with their bridal party later, we all headed to the ceremony.

After the ceremony we got to sneak up to the rooftop for a quiet moment and some epic shots, and we loved not only the portraits this little bubble of time allowed us to capture but also that it was such a nice moment for the newlyweds. We’re always passionate about carving out quiet moments for our couples on their wedding days, because we know what a blur it all rushes by in. We have no doubt that amidst all the memories of walking down the aisle, entering the reception and dancing all night, this moment alone will be one that sticks out for years to come.
