oxford exchange wedding: anne + nick

They held onto each other for just a little longer. He had just laid eyes on her for the first time that day, and she couldn’t contain the widest of smiles. The kind that shone through her eyes. And there, beneath the trees, they drifted between laughing like friends and cuddling like soulmates, their hearts already having made the promise their words would later that day . . .

Anne and Nick are married! After getting ready at her childhood home, Anne shared a first look with Nick out on the backyard patio before the two of them were married in a traditional church ceremony.  The excitement in the air as they saw each other for the first time that day was palpable, and left us feeling so lucky to be the ones to witness it all. Later in the evening everyone headed to the always elegant Oxford Exchange for a gorgeously decorated reception and after one seriously awesome party the newlyweds exited at the end of the night through a tunnel of streamers.

We loved the palette of dusty pastels that made up this day, and especially how it shone through in the bridesmaids’ mixed attire. Anne rocked an absolutely stunning dress with a delicate overlay, and Nick and his guys kept their look timeless and classic with fitted suits and skinny ties. In honor of Anne’s job as a wine rep, bottles with custom calligraphy were used for the seating chart and table numbers, and in leu of a traditional guest book, the guests left note tags on bottles fitted with labels marking milestone anniversaries. We loved so much about his day, from the sweet bride and groom to their amazing family and friends to the ridiculously perfect venue, but the thing we adored most was the feeling of this day. It simply felt like a day about the most genuine of loves  which at the end of it all is what a wedding day is all about.

Anne + Nick, thank you both so very much for such a fun day! We felt incredibly honored to be the ones to document every joy-filled minute and wish we could do it all over again!

Love + Laughs,

Sarah & Ben
