isla del sol yacht club wedding: kathryn & bryan

She is one of the most joyful people you could ever hope to meet. Simply being in her presence is sure to bring a smile to your face, and just as her father would say later that night, she had never met a stranger. She is energetic and vivacious and just the right amount of fun and crazy bottled into one. And he, well he is her perfect complement in every way. Quiet when he needs to be her sounding board, sweet in the way that makes her oh so perfectly giggle, and so incredibly kind to each and every person he meets. Together, they’re the kind of couple you not only feel lucky to know, but they have the kind of love you feel humbled to be in the presence of. And that day, just as they do every day they are together, they celebrated that love. But on this day, there just so happened to be a little more confetti  . . . .

Kathryn and Bryan are married! They had a beyond perfect wedding day at Isla Del Sol that we couldn’t have loved any more.  SERIOUSLY. Kathryn looked absolutely stunning in her Kenneth Winston gown (which had just the right amount of poof and sparkle), and was beaming with excitement from the moment we first arrived. After getting ready himself (and receiving the BEST groom gift ever, a real life replica of Jon Snow’s sword!) Bryan headed out to wait for Kathryn. The two of them opted to share a first look before their ceremony, and it was hard not to tear up ourselves as we watched Bryan tear up both times he saw her walk toward him that day. Watching the two of them together was a perfect example of why we are so pro first-looks, because it takes absolutely nothing away from the grand aisle moment (there were still more tears) and just allows a couple to spend more of their wedding day together. Win-Win!

After a personalized ceremony (which included references to Game of Thrones and Harry Potter….these are our people!) the two of them escaped for portraits near the water. And then, a party so epic it literally shook the floor of the ballroom commenced. There were some seriously amazing dance moves, a slow motion video booth (check out Florida Slow Motion!) and of course a surprise Game of Thrones themed groom’s cake. From start to finish every bit of this wedding day felt the way a wedding day is meant to feel – full of joy, excitement and so much love. And we were the lucky ones who got to document it all!

Kathryn and Bryan, we couldn’t have felt more special to have been the ones to preserve this time of for you two. From the very first time we hung out on Skype we have been so happy to know you both, and have had so much fun along the wedding journey with you guys! Hope you love these every bit as much as we do!

Love + Laughs,

Sarah & Ben
