It’s hard not to believe in fate. When you see them together, hearts full and smiles wide, knowing without a doubt there isn’t a person in the world more right for the other. When you see how perfectly she fits into his arms or how just looking at her makes his eyes bright. It’s hard not to believe in fate. Because after all those years, that middle school girl who moved away from the neighborhood they shared, found her way back to that boy. And on a day in April, many years later, they promised to share their lives, and their hearts, for the rest of their days . . . .

Shannon and Mike are married! They had a traditional ceremony at Palma Ceia United Methodist before a warmly lit reception in downtown Tampa. We loved the soft colors the two of them chose for the day, a perfectly spring-esque mint with accents of peach, which was carried through from the bridal party’s wardrobe all the way to the reception decor. Shannon looked stunning in a perfect Allure Romance gown, and we loved that Mike opted for a timeless suit in a more modern color of gray. But the best looking thing about them were the giant smiles the two of them wore every bit of the day.

After their ceremony the newlyweds got a visit from the Station 14 fire truck (which was the sweetest homage to Mike’s dad) before we headed downtown to finish the rest of their portraits. We were seriously blessed not only with a super fun bridal party but also absolute perfect weather and light, and we could easily have stayed in the park shooting all night (something Sarah seriously considered ; )

Shannon + Mike, we have loved every bit of our time with you guys! From our very first coffee date to your e-sesh and dinner date, to spending your best day ever by your sides – it has all been so incredibly fun and we feel so lucky to know you both!
